Homemade stands

Well heres the scoop. i need to build a stand for my 75gal, and i dont know where to start. i'm not a carpenter or anything but i have built a few dog houses and rabbit cages in my life. lol.. Anyways what i am asking is for anyone who has made a homemade stand and wouldnt mind me checking it out for idea to post some pitures on here. and..... pictures during the build and possibly what was your approximate cost. I would also like to know what type would you used and stain would be great!!

I got an oak stand with my tank when i bought it but it is really short, and wouldnt hold a sump..

I also would like canopy pictures and ideas!!

thanks alot everyone!!

check out the thread in my signature. The first post has links to all the various stand and canopy building steps that I used to put my tank together.

I built one for my 90G tank. The stand dimensions for a 90 and a 75 are the same. The only difference in the tanks are the height and that doesn't matter for the stand/canopy part of it. Mine is built with drawers in the stand (the stand is 36" tall). The canopy also has a drawer in it for the lights to mount on. I think I have about 300 dollars in it but I am not sure.
