Where are your switches Phil?? Why go to the effort of building a power supply without individual switches for every piece of equipment??
Has anyone mentioned a DJ power supply yet?? $40 and you are done with it....safely.
To be sure....I dont mean to disourage...DIY stuff can be fun and you can learn a ton in the process. But if you are going to do it...add switches.

its not a matter of IF you want them. you do want them. Unles you dont mind unplugging and plugging things in all the time.
Switches are mandatory IMO

I dont unplug thigs all the time either......but the need arises....for instance...every water change everything int he sump gets shut off for a few. chillers, returns, skimmer etc. Unplug nothing...flip a few switches. I want to look at soemthing at night.......I flip a switch to my nightlight.
Just offering a simple add and luxury if you are going to go to the effort of building this thing.

Yes. The way in that picture allows you to put a switch on each receptacle (as has been pointed out - you will want switches). It also keeps one receptacle from killing the entire board.

i got better and better at my project, thanks to TRT MEMBERS!! YOU ALL KNOW WHO YOU A
NOw ON THE SWITCH'S? i just cut the black in 2 that is run'n from the outlet..hook one end to the bottom screw on on and off switch, then the other side of the black wire that i cut to the top screw of on and off switch?. that would turn the outlet on and off?..the copper wire from the outlet, i just rap it around the green screw on the on and off switch then follow out to the plug?
im just hooking up, one on and off switch to the 4 outlets in the feild cause 3 of them will have timers on them and i can shUt them off by the on and off switch on the timers ...the 4th outlet in the field(the bottom right one) that one, i will add an on and off switch cause that outlet will run my mag24 that runs my whole sump putn water into the tank..thats the one plug i always unplug(getn sick of it,lol) when i do water changes.
the 8 outlets that i already wired up, ill have to re-wire them like the 4 outlets in the field..all outlets now will have there own on and off switch's.. like i said the only outlets that will not get a switch, will be the outlets that i have a timer on to my lights
thanks everyone for your help

See why you wanted switches on each outlet?

Use 2-gang boxes instead of the single boxes. Then the switch can go in the same box with the receptacle it controls. That way you don't even have to label them. Just don't ask how to make each plug on the receptacle have a switch - you can do it.

A dedicated breaker for the tank is a good thing. it wont restrict what you are allowed to use in the house out of which sockets. Do you have any open spots in the house main?? if so, I would tap into one of them with a 30 amp or two 20's maybe. I do believe adding more than a 20 technically needs done by a pro according to law though (I think). I have two 30's dedicated to my tanks
