Help need new lights!

i need VHO or T5 lighting to go over a 120 / 48"
what should i be looking for.
only have LR and some soft corals NO SPS....\

For a short, quick response, 4x110 VHO.


If you want to start keeping higher light LPS, throw in 2-4 more VHO's.

Compare the cost of a 4 tube electronic ballast and bulbs to the cost of the same watts of T5 and look hard at replacement costs for all those bulbs.
An eballast like an icecap can drive any flourescent tube including T5(with proper end caps) VHO or normal output, as well as Compact flourescent.
Basically in a pinch with an IceCap 660 4x110 setup you light a 120g well enough for soft and LPS corals, as well as haviong the option of sticking in a standard 40 watt GE 6500 K bulb if one of your specialty reef bulbs takes a dump on a sunday night, try that with a Copact Flourescent or T5 bulb, unless of course you buy expensive spare
