Heatin' up

Just got done with the exception of the doors... in progress on those, with this hood. The problem is I don't know what size of fan or where to put it/them. The temp before the hood was a low 74-75... and now it is closing in on 85-86. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks[ATTACH]Click image for larger version

ahh, this is always a controversial discussion. the general concensus is that if it is a closed canopy than have the air blowing out of the canopy. if it is an open canopy than have the air blowing in.

i on the other hand like to have the air blowing out regardless of how closed the canopy is.

since the only opening on yours is along the back i would prolly put a coule of fans on the top blowing out. that way it is drawing in cool air and exporting the hot air. i would use 4" fans. you really can not have to many or to large of fans.

You can put fans in each end one pulling and one pushing!

this is how i do it..2 $15 fans from walgreens..one blow'n in and one blown out..it has 3 controls for speed.. i keep them both on the lowest one and my tank stays at 78-80..thats with mh's..if i turn the fans up to the highest speed, my tank goes down to 72..i think i can add another mh with out having to buy a chiller..ill just adjust the speeds to make sure it stays between 78-80...$30 in fans.. rather then a $500 chiller
