I did not intend to have a shelf on the brackets but the leads coming out of the fixture for the pc's are too short to reach the floor. When I move the sump to the sump room I'll build a shelf in the stand for the ballasts.
Notice the stainless turnbuckles with 100# mono going to the top plate of the wall. Since the wall brackets are attached to the paneling with toggle bolts this adds a lot of stability. I may replace the mono with stainless wire. The mono streches a bit.

WoW Rick, Looks real nice! I've always wanted to try a pendent style hood over a tank. Does the hood throw a lot of light (unwanted) into the room? What about noise? Is there a lot of water noise, say like from the overflow? Looks like access to the tank is way better then with a canopy. Bob

Thanks
There is practically no light coming into the room. The angle of the reflectors keeps it in the tank. Once the corals are acclimated to the lights I'll lower the fixture a bit more.
I have rectangular pieces of acrylic sitting on top of the overflows which covers up any noise from them. That and all the algae growing in the overflows keeps the noise down.
