Glass tank repair
Just letting you guys know a trick I learned about taking a glass tank apart. I got a 90 gal tank really cheap, it has a scratched front, so I'm gonna replace the front with a new piece of glass. It is very hard to get the glass off, but I figured out a way. I cut the excess silicone away with a razor. then I CAREFULLY used a speader clamp to put a little pressure on the side I wanted off. I then ran a piece of fishing lin down the side inbetween the front piece of glass and the side. I broke alot of fishing line but it worked, the fishing line cut right through the silicone. I moved the clamp around alot to the area of the tank I was working on. Well I hope this helps someone, I know there's gotta be someone who's frustrated with a few too many scratches on the front of thier tank.
Good Luck Rich
