how deep (front to back) is the tank? what about just adding a false wall to the back of the tank that is only 4" wide (or whatever width is needed to comfortably get an elbow in there) ? that way you can have the tank as close to the wall, and all of the plumbing would be hidden.

The tank is 2 feet wide. I'm wanting to keep it that way with no obstructions behind the rock work so my wavebox can work properly. The reason I'm going with C2C. Plus I couldn't afford the glass or plexi to make the wall.

Ok I'm going with 4-1 inch durso stand pipes. They are gonna be evenly spaced down the tank. The overflow is going to be 6.5 inches deep and 4 inches wide. The weir is going to be 1/4 inch X 1 inch spaced out about 1 every three to 5 inches.

Should I run the dursos directly to the sump or should I combine them in a 3(what size?) inch pipe then go into the sump? What else should I concider?

i was just going to point that style overflow out. it seems to be the new way of doing it. i experimented with something like it a while back, but with two instead of three. i was not able to make it any more quiet than a durso, so i gave up on it. this was when i had the 75g predator tank. i think my problem was the drains were to far apart.

i am definately interested in this style overflows also.

It seams easy enough. Also it is fully reversable.

you can mod a HGB to operate in 2" of water, and they are better than dursos anyway

make sure you are going toothless with your C2C. otherwise you defeat the purpose of the coast to coast in the first place

Yeah its toothless on the big tank but I put some on the small tank to keep the anemone from going all the way into the overflow if it gets too close.

I don't see you much anymore fly where you hiding?
