Flow & Loc-Line

I have a Mag 12 driving my return to a 90G. The return is split with two Loc-Line flexi tubes that point to the right of the aquarium. I have two questions.

I've calculated the return flow to around 800 GPH due to the sump location and how many elbows I have. Is this enough flow or do I need to add powerheads to the tank?

If it is enough flow, can I add more tubing so I can have some of the return flow lower into the tank? I would split one of the loc-lines in two and take them lower into the tank, so they can point to the left.

Something like this:

+-----> return flow

Splitting the lines will work, but reduce the velocity of the water coming out even more. I used a mag18 as a return on my 75, split 4 ways and it wasnt a lot of water movement. Have you considered adding a closed loop to increase the water movement in the tank.
Also take care to do siphon breaks on your return lines so that you don't flood the sump is the power goes off , thats not a good thing

I do have a siphon break on my return. If I were to do a closed look I would have to drill the tank and I don't want to do that. How much flow is enough?

Here is a link for a CLS that doesn't require drilling your tank

flow has a lot to do with how your aquascaping is set up. the less aquascaping you have the less total flow you will need. the object of flow is to keep detritus suspended in the water column so that the skimmer can remove it.

how much water can your overflow handle?

here is a pic of my old CLS.
