Yeah, the tank is being drilled by Truvu. There will be an overflow so there shouldn't be too much junk collection. Also remember that the tank is only 12'' tall so the cleaning won't be a problem. I'm pretty sure everything is already finished though. I'll look into the omniflex, where can I find that? Oh and what is your rock lift system all about? Thanks for the concerns, I really appreciate how everyone honestly help out and doesn't just act like snobs and tell me how wrong I am but don't give an answer. Thanks.

Sorry...i should have read closer and I would have cought the 12" deep thing.
You are right, the infeed wont matter so much...i would still reconsider putting the outputs closer to the edge for more directional options throughout the tank.
Omniflex nozzles here: http://www.oceansmotions.com/store/p...7660d0d89a3efd
Not cheap...but the sweetest cls output option there is
The rocklift system is simply a way to lift your rock off the substrate, while at the same time getting the most stable reef you can while not restricting flow in any way. Any questions feel free.
Your build looks great.....keep posting

Not much I can add. Things are coming together well. I second the screw issue. For the size tank, it should be OK, but if you build a stand for anything bigger, definately don't support the tank via screws
The aquapod looks pretty good! And you look like a very lucky man with your vacation-partner!

So the aquarium is finished and should be sent tomorrow. I'm leaving for Georgia tomorrow and Friday I'm going to the Atlanta City Aquarium. I'm pretty excited to see this place. I'll post pics when I get back. Comment the stand frame and give me some ideas on what else I could have done or should do. Peace.

Finally Back!!!
Okay I have been so busy lately. Here's what's been going on. I got the new aquarium in and I bought a Mag Drive 950 for the return and a Mag Drive 700 for the CLS. Here are some pics:

The Pumps+Tank
The Back
Man it feels good to be back though. I'll post some pics on here from the Georgia Aquarium........It was awesome. Peace.

I like how both the outlets to the CLS pump and sump are covered by the overflow box, but will that be a problem with them getting enough water in that little space?

Uh well, it may present itself as a problem but I think there is enough room above the overflow to allow enough water to move over it. If it is a problem then I'll just drill a couple smaller inlets in the over flow. I like the plan as well, TruVu did a really good job on it, I would recommend them.

Today I will be getting the plumbig supplies and the rest of the lumber to finish the stand. In a couple weeks I should be getting the OM 2-way squirt. I'll post more pics later.

You're probably right about that. I noticed it too. You have a pretty small overflow box and to be able to get over 1000 gph into it without making a big mess might be difficult to do. The overflow will drain a certain amount down into the sump, but the cls will probably require close to 700 gph for the Mag 7. If the overflow can not fill fast enough, the Mag will suck in air and you will have created a recirc skimmer in your 15 gallon display. The oveflow will also be very loud. It can be adjusted though, so don't worry too much about it. Just go ahead and set it up with regular fresh water and see how much flow it can handle. You can use a smaller pump (Mag 5) or put a ball valve on the OUTlet side of the Mag to throttle down. BTW, the only difference between a Mag 5 and 7 is the impeller, which can be bought for $10. So for those wanting to save some money, you can upgrade a 5 to a 7 for cheap. In this case, you can downgrade for cheap.

I was planning on using a valve to slow it but I have another question, should I hard plumb it or use tubing? How can I get the sump drain to be silent as well? Thanks.
