Drilling my tank ASAP

My sump actually. I am not sure if it is tempered. Looking at it from the side it does have a greenish hue, How can I tell?

your sump is glass and not acrylic? unusual, but not unheard of. do you know what size tank it was made out of originally? most of the time the sides are not tempered. bottoms have a much greater chance of being tempered.

if you have two polorized sunglasses you can figure out if it is tempered that way. i think you put on lense inside the tank the other on the outside. if the lenses turn black when rotated it is not tempered. i think, hopefully someone will really remember how this polarized trick works.

The sump is made from an old tank and it says 60e it is 48.5 x 17.5 x 12 something

the E tends to represent economy. which means the bottom is prolly tempered. i think the E series is from either All-Glass or Perfecto. you might want to check both of these websites to make sure only the bottom is tempered.
