Very nice Glad the venturi is working well.
You don't need a lid for the cup, but yes it will help fold the foam over.

These skimmers are the best bang for the buck IMO.

Well i just got home from being gone this weekend and letting the new skimmer do its thing.
I got about 1 1/2 cups of dark brownish color skimmate just in 3 days. Would that be a right amount for 3 days?
This is my first skimmer that i had that has worked right. I drained out the jug before i took a pic sorry guys.

New to TRT and looking to setup reef tank
Hello all, new here and am looking to build my own skimmer. I have a 29 gal reef (new build). I have about 15-20 lbs of LR and about 3" to 3 1/2 " of LS. My old compact lighting on this tank died a few months ago so there is very little color left to the rocks. I have purchased a 175 w MH pendant for the tank. I have a SeaClone skimmer and an 18w UV "Double Helix" sterilizer on the tank right now ( I will add some pics as soon as I can. ) I am thinking of going with a refugium for this reef. Anyone have any ideas suggestions?
Thanks
Roger
