I'll make a suggestion, I started looking at ways to make a ledge on rock as well and what I did was cut a piece of eggcrate the size I needed / wanted. I then busted up some LR into small chucks. From there I just took superglue and glued the chunks to the side of the eggcrate all the way around. That way you couldn't see the eggcrate. After it is done, you can just put this on top of your side pieces and stack LR rubble on top of it and no one will ever know it is just plastic eggcrate with a LR face unless they can se the underside of it. If I think about it when I get home, I will get a picture of the one I am building now for you to see what I am talking about.

That is about what know-it-all did but made his own rock. He used the eggcrate as the frame for the rock. The ledge piece I already have. I just have to figure out the best way to make the two canyon walls leading into my cave that the ledge goes over.

I think I may have enough rock now to try to create part of the display effect I want. I have to pick up a rock that ReefNeck made tomorrow. It is 10x10x1 1/2. With that rock and the base rock and live rock that I have now. I may not need to make any for this tank but I still want to try to make some to see how it works and whether it is worth the effort or not.
