Question

DIY Drip for Kalk

OK I have a small tank (38 Gallon). See my link below.

I'm looking for a way to make like a 20 oz kalk drip system for my reef tank. Thinking about dosing 20 oz over like 12 hours. Anyone done this? I know it's probably super simple but I just can't think of a way to do it.

Thanks
MPLS_Gazer

PS More explanation needed?

kalk mixing question

I add my kalk with my topoff water: a 7 gallon bucket, with 2 tsps of kalk, into my sump with a float switch. When the topoff bucket is about 1/4 full, I want to replenish it. Do I have to empty the bucket (which now has water, white crud on the bottom, and white skim on the top)? Or can I just add fresh DI water and 2 more tsps of kalk?

I gather from some additional reading that it is okay to mix it in the same buck et a few times, but it is best to clean it out before too long.

I only clean my kalk bucket out about 3 times a year.
