I'm trying to load the pics to my host but the site is SLOOOWWWW. LOL Cant even log on. But heres the fan details.
Canopy fans
Dayton, Model# 4C550, 110cfm, 3100 RPM, .34 Amps, 24W
Had these a while. Dont remember the cost. Should be cheap.

Fuge Fan.
Made by Blizzard
Bought at Home Depot. Temp setpoints at 60,65,70,75,80. With High and low speeds. $20.00

And what sucks is I just tried to run everything at the same time with the new fans. I can only get the Single MH to come on with the fans running. The @nd stage MH which is 2 seperate Ballast's will not fire. They will only flicker and quit.

I NEED MORE POWER MR. SCOTT....

That bites the big'n. Guess I'll be running conduit and wire this weekend.

Update.

My tank ran all day with the lights on and all 3 fans. High temp when the lights just now shut down. 79.5
It has been stable at that temp all day. WOOHOOO No chiller needed. LOL

"The only drawback with all the evaporative cooling is that top off is almost 2 gallons a day with my 90g and 25g sump."

Wow, I wish I had that problem.. I evap a good 4-6gal per day on my 55gal with a 30gal sump. Ofcourse, I have 2 250watt halides and 2 96watt PC's and 4 fans..

My top off is about 2-3 gallons per day on a 180. Which is at most 90 gallons per month. This will cost me about 30 cents per month.

A chiller large enough to cool my tank to the same temp would cost me $35.00 per month in electricity. This is assuming that it would run for 18 hours a day. My tank runs 84 iat sunrise with no fans. So it will have to run a lot.

So with these figures and the operating cost of a reef tank.
I choose evaperative cooling.

Yeah, even at 4-6gpd, its a LOT cheaper than a chiller. - but somethings I think that it would be better for the tank to have a chiller..

It is better for sure. But I cant even afford to buy one right now. About 600.00 used probably. It will control to a more specific temp for sure. But right now I have about a 2 deg rise which isnt bad. We'll see what happens with the temp when I add the 6 more Maxijet 1200's tomorrow. LOL
