DIY Chiller

Ok I have seen several posts where people have made chillers out of water fountains, but does anyone know a way to make one out of a water cooler. I have a n extra 5 gal water cooler just sitting around my house and with summer coming I don't know if I can spend another 120$ on A/C a month to keep the house cool enough. So if anyone has seen it, done one, or has any idea how to do it I would really appreciate some help.

I dont know about a cooler, but i went to a guys house last night and he was telling me about his plans to turn a mini fridge into a chiller.. It sounds like it would work quite well. The begining of summer is the best time to find them for cheap seeing as how all the college kids have them and wont be in college anymroe so they sell them.. I paid 50 bucks for mine.. and if it works 50 bucks is a lot better than 500.

I would be interested in seeing how somebody did that, I have one of those mini frig's in the garage doing nothing

it finally ran out of coolant, so i ditched it and built one out of an A/C unit.
