DIY 75gal stand

Well I already made my stand out of 2x4's and 4x4's. I then painted it white.


And now I bought oak plywood.
So now the next step is to stain it and then put it on.

what kind of joints did you use? did you just glue and screw the stand together?

I just screwed the stand together. Sanded it down and gave it a quick paint job, seeing as no one is really going to see the inside. I picked up the oak wood just the other day. I'm just waiting till monday so I can go to work and stain/lacker(sp?) the oak to the color of the trim on my tank. Im then adding trim around the doors as well as door knobs. Trim will be the same color as the stand.

what did you use for latches on the doors?

Just regular door hinges. Nothing too fancy.

how do you keep them closed? magnets or roller grabbers, or something else?
