DIY 10g refuge/sump ?

I'm making a sump/refugium for my 54g reef out of a 10g glass tank. I'm putting 2 plexi-glass dividers fuge in the center and pumps on the sides. How high should the dividers be and should they both be the same hieght? Also is it a good idea to have a lid on it?

how many pumps are you going to put in a 10g tank? how much flow are you going to put through the sump? a 10g is awfully small to try and do a combo sump/refuge. when all of the pumps and heaters are finally added there is not much room left for anything else.

make the dividers about 8 inches high. only problem is you need to test for when the power goes off whether or not it will overflow.

I had a 10G sump+fuge for my 72G, and it would overflow if the power went out. I finally just built a custom one from acrylic
