CPR BakPak Mod

Have any of you guys tried a mod I saw on RC where you add a wooden airstone to the bottom of the CPR BakPak Skimmer. You essentially fish the airline and airstone in through the top of the outflow of the skimmer, and back up into the reaction chamber. I'm trying to think of how I can get my skimmer to be able to work better for my new setup (I've got plans in the works...I'll post them as I get them down on computer). I would assume it wouldn't hurt the skimmer...I just didn't know if it made it all that much more efficient.

Thanks,
jeepjon

regular airstone driven skimmer are very efficient. this should work fine. the biggest reason most skimmers are not air driven is because the air-stones get clogged rather quickly and loose their efficiency.
