Well most of us have it somewhere in our tanks and the white/black pipe sticks out like sore thumb, but i ran across this idea online and thought i would share it and since i cant find the link i will just share my personal Xp of it.
Well lets give my back story, i had a 10g nano which i planed on keeping some firefish and a goby so i wanted to make sure they had some hiding spots so i took my plan white PVC pipe and layed it under the rock to hide it somewhat but it was still very noticable so i found this idea.
What you will need?
-dry sand
-PVC pipe
-silcone
-gloves(just used to spread silcone)
Whats the steps?
1. clean the pvc pipe
2 get some sand and might want to get a good layer on a plate with high sides or a bowl.
3. wearing gloves (not really needed) apply a thin layer of silcone all over the PVC pipe
4. roll the PVC in sand to cover (or lightly drop sand over it)
5. let it dry for a couple hours and repeat steps 3 and 4 (only if you want but more layers will completly hide the white or black of the PVC)
6. when you are pleased with your layers let sit and dry for a good 24-36 hours (more if always better to allow the silcone to set)
7. final step is to just rinse off to remove any loose sand.
you are good to go enjoy your new camo PVC
Warning* it still looks unnatural but still, at least now it blends in
i will try to get a pic of mine so everyone can see
