calcium reactor setting

I just built a calcium reactor for my 65g hex and running it for two weeks. I used a micro controller value instead of a bubble counter and just tuned the valve so the Milwaukee ph controller keeps my ph in the chamber at 6.3 to 6.5. My friend at work also built one the same but uses a bubble counter. My question is what would be the best set up too have? The value comes on every hour for 1 min. like mine or for long periods like my friends. We both have @ 800ppm cal coming out. And the cal is coming up in tank.

If it works - I would not change it. Just keep an eye on the ph out
