building a low cost wave box

I have seen one tuze wave box in action and think that it might be cool to have one. The problem is anything made by tuze is way out of my price range!!!! What i was looking to do is get ideas and designs to make a wave box out of acrylic and a prop moded maxi-jet. The output of the newly moded maxi-jets seem like they would work well and would cost a couple hundred less then the tuze-streams and i think it could be done less than a hundered bucks. I dont currently know what i would use as a controler but i also dont know what frequency the controler for the curent tuze boxes use. bring on the ideas....

If you are going to do it you need to look at some of the cheap DC controllable pumps like resun...

i think i am going to build a swirlzila insted because using a low cost pump just results in them burning out. at first i thought it could be done with a maxi-jet but i have herd the lifespan of somthing in this type of setup is only weeks and thats not so cost effective....
