you could, but i doubt with the way you are thinking. at some point you will need an overflow. either from the biocube into the fuge/frag tank or vice versa. you can not pump from one then pump back from the other. it is impossible to match pump rates. one entity has to be pumped into while gravity then removes the water back to the other.

What is the bottom and the back of the biocube? I think they are plastic but I don't remember. If they are plastic then you could simply drill two bulkheads. One for the drain to get to the sump, the return would come back through the other. Simply use the first chamber for the drain/return. The center chamber in the bio8 would be empty, the water would run through into the third and back into the tank.

Get two 18gallon totes from Walmart, empty the tank in 10 minutes (being lenient), drill two holes, install the bulkheads, flip the tank back over. It won't hurt anything in the tank to be in a holding tank for a day or two while you "upgrade" the setup. Whether you can drill it and how hard it would be depends on what the bottom and the back of the tank are made of. Whether they are glass, acrylic, or some kind of composite material will tell you if you can drill it or not. If you drill it, it makes life so much easier running it into a sump instead of having to have an overflow box.

What matters is what the tank is made out of.

And thank you for taking the extra few seconds next time to spell out words properly instead of trying to send a text message. It doesn't take that long and makes it a LOT easier to read and understand what you are saying.
