Question

Baffle Placement

I am builing my own sump and can't figure out if it is best for the water to go Over-Under-Over
Or Under Over under?
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Over under over the first pic is the way you want to do it.

i prefer the under over under myself. that way you are already pulling the least bubble infested water through the baffles. the other way you are pulling the bubbles along.

i actually prefer the under, over, under, over if there is room. that way you can set the next sections water level if needed.

That is ideal if you can have room for it. Also i like to space the baffles about 1.5" - 2" apart. The bigger the space the water wont flow as fast through them allowing for the bubbles to not pass through.

Just a question are you going to make the middle baffle go up to the full height of the sump as it looks in you first diagram?

sure, why not? that baffle does not have any control over water height. if it goes up to the top than there is no concern about where the water level in the sump settles out.
