Attaching John Guest fittings to top of reactor?

I want to attach some 1/4" tubing to the top of a calcium reactor securely and be able to easily unattach the tubing for maintenance. I was thinking that the best way to do it would be to drill and tap a 1/4" male x male threaded piece to the top of the reactor. Then attach a 1/4" elbow with threaded female locking piece onto the other piece.

Is this possible with John Guest parts? If so, what parts? If not, any other suggestions?

I have attached a basic layout to help explain the situation.

Yeah, it's possible if you can thread the pvc. I'm not sure where to get parts in your area, but usplastics carries the stuff you'd need. In the link, you can see it's just a male threaded piece straight to a JG fitting. Should work quite well.

That is the same way I have the tubing attached to the top of my reactor. It works great. Water tight and easy to remove and reattach.

Thanks to all for your tips. I had a look at the JG fittings on my RODI filter. I didn't realise how easy it is to connect and disconnect with the Speedfit system

I will probably add these to the top of my two reactors:
