ATO Help

I am wanting to get a ATO for my 20L. Here are the ones I am looking at.

Just the pump and the float switch and holder are going to be about $45 shipped.

Or I can just get this for $40 and then just use a Air Pump.

Does either one of these seem better than the other? Or is there a better option?

Willie, this is what I use with my system. It's been very dependable for the past two years. I use it with a minijet powerhead.

Also looking at top offs lately.
I am debating the Tunze Osmolator, but
I really do not have the room to store a 5 gallon bucket.
I would like something that can add a bit several times per day,
Rather than a gallon here & there.

Mike, mine adds water throughout the day... do you have a closet nearby that you could put a small storage container in? You would have to be able to run a length of RO tubing to the tank from that location, and the storage container would need to be about a foot or so higher than the sump

I had a local cabinet maker make a stand for me that is an exact
match for my tank stand. I have the IceCap battery for my Vortecs
& a UPS1400 for my main return. I also have a mess of timers & power strips
in there.
I bet that I have room for a 2.5 gallon water container & I am alright using that,
but I know that I don't have room for a 5g. I wish that I would have had my
storage cabinet built bigger.
On a week long family vacation I would have no problem putting a 10g in the
living room floor, but I need something less evasive for day to day.
