Anyone with a DIY based on LG CPR fuge?

The pump is so close to the surface, I was thinking at a minimum of moving it down behind the rocks, this will make the intake harder to clean, but will get more of the nutrients from the bottom into the fuge...

Thoughts?

making it difficult to clean is prolly the biggest problem i can see. not really a problem but an annoyance.

Do you see an upside of moving the pump down? Or am I conconcting something pointless?
