It's that single line that indicates that it has chemicals that you don't want in your tank. I used silicone I for doors and windows and it is fine. I also did a lot of research on it before using it. If you have any doubts, you could order a tube of aquarium silicone online.

Heyyya Geoff.. How are your skimmers doing? Made any recirculating ones? I just built one out of 5 gallon water jug.. will order a pump in a couple of weeks.

Anyway back to our thread topic:
Use GE012A model number. It should be GE Silicone I Door and Windows - It will not mention anything about 'prevents mold or mildew'.

The model number will be located in small numbers/letters beside the bar code on the bottom half.

The reason to use this stuff instead of the 'aquarium' labelled, small tubes.
1) Cost - MUCH cheaper.. same stuff.
2) Size - Less hassle especially when using large amounts of silicone, such as to reseal an aquarium.

Silicone is silicone is silicone. All is naturaly mold and mildew resistant since all is nonporous. The acid mintioned is because it is RTV. Can not be helped if you want it to cure. All will be perfectly safe once cured. Think about it, it's for bathrooms and kitchens and rated for food contact in such applications.

i tend to not believe in doing recirc mods. i find that they do not help the tank any. i would rather have the added flow from the recirc pumps used for a bigger inflow pump to the skimmer. the only time a recirc mod would be usefull is if you are already processing more flow through the skimmer than is going through the sump. if not then you should increase the flow through the skimmer instead of recircing the skimmer.
