another diy canopy Q:


i considering building a conopy 4 a 67 g. (36wx18d) will b using 4x55 pc's
and 1 x175 mh my Q: is how thick should the ply wood b.

i prefer 3/4 since screwing things together is easier and typically stronger. 3/4 ply also comes in many more species than 1/2. (oak, birch, maple,sand ply, pine, etc...)

Cost more - too.

I like to build a frame then cover it with 1/4 to 1/2". Little less weight and I can take it off myself if I have to. It's 6' long.

after some thought, i came 2 the conclushion that the frame and 1/2 in. ply
wood was the way i'd go with.
