42 if you have the gun, 40 if you don't. Only difference is 42 is put in a cartridge for the gun and 40 you mix yourself. Never tried the 1802.

Yeah I was thinking 40. The 16 specifically says ABS too but its not a good bond. I was also thinking I could just get abs glue and mix it with 16 but its for my cross braces on the top of my 225 and it would suck if it didn't work.

Mixing 16 and ABS glue won't work, experience. The 16 simply doesn't grab the ABS enough to get a good bond with it.

So 40 WILL work for the cross braces?

It will glue them together. I won't give you a guarantee but so far, 40 is what I found that works the best of what I tried. 3, 4, 16 and 40. Of those, 40 works the best and its what they recommend for gluing ABS to acrylic.

Why not use acrylic?

Acrylic and Weldon 3/4

40/42 is all I know that works. The 1802 that Doug mentioned says for ABS-Acrylic but I have never used it so I can't say anything about it.

How big are the pieces you are gluing on? Pics of it? And, how thick is the ABS and Acrylic?

The ABS is the trim piece for the top of the tank and the acrylic is 3/8 inch thick by 4 inches wide. I'm planning on putting 2 of the acrylic pieces on it evenly spaced out.

Now I understand I thought you were putting ABS pieces onto the acrylic tank. Its acrylic pieces onto the ABS trim. I would use WO 40 to do it with.
