92 gallon corner bowfront, Not reef ready

Can the 92 gallon corner bowfront sides be drilled for over flow to the sump?? I'm thinking the bottom is tempered but the sides are thick. Would it be possible to drill the sides?? This tank was a freebie!! And we're all about making due with a CPR overflow but I'd reallu like to make it a drilled tank for simplicity! Any and all info will be aprreciated! Thanks TRT

do you know who the manufacturer of the tank is? most manufacturers only temper the bottom and not the sides.

I think its a "AllGlass Mfg" tank. The tank is only about a year old...and some neighbors moved and left the tank...they had attempted reef tanking...but failed! So they just gave it away and I aquired it!

i would check the All-Glass site to be sure, but i am pretty sure that the sides are regular glass.

the other thing you could do...

I've drilled several my self and would do that, but you can run it down to a glass shop and the will do it for about 25 or 30 bucks. WELL worth the investment.

imho

If replacement is the route I would think in terms of something other than a corner tank, Nonstandard sizes and shapes always make it harder to setup well in a sanitary manner
