30 gal on top 75 below HELP

ok need some help here.
i have a 75 gal 4 year old well running tank below. built into a like a room divider on top i just added a 30 gal tank. i have very little room to work with but how can i connect my 30 gal to the 75 gal below to make one tank 75 gal tank is about knee height the 30 gal at like a counter top height. i do not need alot of water flow on the 30 gal since it will be a non-reef tank well just for seahorses.

again i am very limited in space to add pumps and such outside the tanks and hose line or pipes would have to be small. any clue on how i could do this?

so what i want to do is take the bottom tank water pump it to the top and have the top water go to the bottom

with out having 105 gals of water running all over the place.

You will have to drill the 30 gallon on the side and create an overflow to go back down to the 75 gallon, so think of the 75 gallon as the sump for the 30 gallon.

you gotta pic? Sup is suggesting what i was thinking. do you have a sump? trying to think of a way to get the water up to the 30 without a pump in the 75.

You can drill the 75 gallon on it's side and plumb an external pump just like you would a sump pump.

there needs to be a pump somewhere. unless you are using a bubble lift.

How about a Maxijet 1200 powerhead in the 75 with plumbing up to the 30. Drill the side of the 30 for an overflow back into the 75...

You drillers crack me up!!!!

While I love a drilled tank and would have no other if I could help it, if you have a tank already I'd be very cautious about drilling, see Pinayreefer's nano buildoff thread to see the results of drilling a tempered glass tank. I have a 40 breeder from All-Glass that I'd like to drill, but even they won't tell me if it's tempered or not, and I'd rather not find out the "hard" way!
If one tank is above the other, there's only one way to get water up there, and that's with a pump of some kind. Schwaggs suggestion is the way I'd go, with the exception of an overflow box, if you don't know if you can drill or not.
