24 gallon nano cube hood broke

What or how can I make another light for my nano cube?...I only found 1 website for replacement hoods and because mine is older I need the new ballast they carry for their hood, problem is the ballast is on backorder for 3 weeks...and I need a fix now or real soon..any ideas?

Can you post a picture of the hood you have now? There may be something you can do with it to get it to work long enough to get a new one ordered.

The part where you feed the fish broke and the whole lid slammed down..and the lights blew out...now everything else still worked,I went and bought 2 new lights and they still won't work we took the whole thing apart and made sure all the wires where tight and still nothing..the fuse on the transformer looks fine too, so I don't know what else to do.

It may have blown the ballast and if it did, theres not a lot you can do other than to replace it. Do you have anybody locally to you that may have a light you can borrow for a few weeks until you get a replacement hood?

What do you have in the tank now though? You could possibly get away with a DIY light setup with a 6500K bulb for a week or two until you can replace it.

i have an entire aquapod hood with lights i would sell for like 50 bucks, there are a lot of people in and around indiana on this board.. maybe you are one of them?
