You may be able to get away with it. Individual reflectors is best. What is the height of the 37? Also, it is best that your 37g is 6 months old or older before adding an anemone. Is there anyone local that could take it in for a while?

I may be mistaken but the lowest watt T5 bulb I can find anywere on the Net is a 24" 20w you say you have 18w T5? Just to calrify when T5's are mentioned in reference to reef tanks it is usually T5-HO (high output)
As far as the 37 with 6 T5HO bulbs you will be much better off.

24" is borderline IMO with your lighting. If both are BTAs it is possible that they will do ok together. What size tank does your mom have and what lighting? The bigger the better. I keep a green and a rose BTA together in a 90, and another green and rose in a 55. They have been there for two years without problems, however, they are always on the opposite ends of the tank. This is not always true for every case though.

It echo what CRVZ said... I wasn't trying to be harsh. Sometimes in between work, school and typing on TRT, I get a little to the point This is a great family, welcome aboard and if your willing to learn, we're willing to type... Some stuff may even be useful
So welcome to TRT!
