We've got that same model camera. Only thing I don't like about it is the focus issues; my wife doesn't seem to have any but all my pics turn out fuzzy =p Think I read somewhere it just has a slow processor in it...definitely not an amateur camera (I being the amateur in the family).

I use manual focus when I take shots of the reef.

Keep using the camera and i'm sure you'll get the hang of it and yes; the auto focus is a little funky on it. I set mine to spot focus it seems to be a little more accurate. You have to point at what you want in focus and keep holding the button half way down then move the camera to frame the shot the way you want it. There is also an ie lock button on the camera that will lock the focus and exposure till you take the shot. The camera is pretty complex but there is an auto setting on it too! I’m really starting to like this camera.

I have been in to photography every since i was 13 years old (23 years) and this is the first digital camera that I have liked.

I came to TRT about 1year ago in search of info on setting up a 100 gallon reef tank....here is my tank one year later, and Im getting ready to up it to a 240 gallon! Thanks for the help people!
