Sony Cyber-Shot Pro Lense help

I have a Sony Cyber-Shot Pro (DSC-F828)

I was wondering if anyone else has ever used "add-on" lenses before...

I'm looking at Sony's "Close-up Lense" for this camera

I have been unable to locate one in any local stores (I've called just about every camera shop in St. Louis), but I have found this lense for as low as $50 online. I'm just wondering if it's $50 well spent?

I now have a Nikon 8700,But I had a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S75 which my wife has now.I bought the mico and a 3X converter and external flash and a couple filters.Anyway it took great micro shots with the the aditional lens on it.I got most of my stuff for that digital on ebay.Most of it came from a store in N.Y.city(Can't think of the store name off hand.)had great prices and fast shipping.
