SONY CD-Mavica (3.2 pixels)

Whenever I take a close shot it never turns out right due to the lights. When I try flash, everythings ugly. So here's what I do....I set it to take the picture with flash....but, i cover the flash "light" so that no flash is displayed. Somehow...that takes "OK" pictures. I did that by mistake and came out alright. Any other tips you photographer gurus can give me for this camera?

I use the same camera. I take my pics at night. I turn off all the lights in the room, leaving the tank lights only and this seems to work great for me....HTH...Anthony
