pistol shrimps are ok to keep with other inhabitants..mantis shrimp has to be solo..

cool. i was thinking of getting a yellow watchmen goby and a pistol shrimp pair it looks cool. Do they just eat the scraps that the fish dont eat?

if i were you i would get get a already paired goby and shrimp. The goby will feed the pistol shrimp...and the same with shrimp..they will bring food for eachother..im not sure if mine are paired up but they do share the same den...the shrimp might go after some small hermits once and a while i seen mine pull one into his den once..but what i like to do is dice up small squid real tiny parts and leave it in frount of his den..it reduces the chance of him going after hermits

i dont think he will...as long as he is well fed..like i said in a previous post on this thread the goby will feed the shrimp..or if you want to make sure that he wont bother anything else place a small tiny piece of squid at where his den opening is and he'll pick that up and eat rather then go out and hunt.
