Hi, Benjamin,

I checked my D70 and the settings are:

AE/AF Lock OK

AE Lock ON OK

AF Lock ON OK

AE Lock Hold OK

AF AF-ON OK

FV Lock OK

I have it set so that If I want to lock exposure on an area, I push and hold the AEL button, recompose, and shoot. Half press the shutter button to lock focus, recompose, and shoot.

Hope this helps,

Dick
