Need to buy a new camera, would like some advice please.
Hubby lost the old camera out at the softball field last night
I have had it for a long time and i need to get a new one because i'm going to be mad about not having one to take pics of the baby with. they grow so fast at this age and all.... so yeah, i'll be mad about it until i get a new camera.

as you may be able to tell i'm so annoyed with the whole thing that i'm having a hard time typing clearly.
anyway, my primary purpose is of course taking pics of the kids, but i love taking pics of flowers and my tank and outdoor pics. so something that can do nice macros without additional lenses would be nice. also, my old camera had a really slow response time when the button was pushed, so i often lost my shot, i hope the newer digitals are much better at that, but that is a very important thing to me to have a quick response when the button is pushed. the old camera also used to take little 15 second videos, that is another option i'd like to have in a new camera, a minimum of 15 second video.
i'm thinking a price range of $200-$450 would be acceptable. I'm not hooked on any certain brand, but i have always had great luck with Sony products, but will take any suggestions!
Thanks!

I have always been a huge fan of the sony cybershot series. I have an older version that takes outstanding pictures and the interface between it and my computer (I use a mac but used to use a dell) couldn't be easier. I opted for a small, thin, camera because I found myself leaving my larger camera at home a lot.
Best Buy seems to have their newest model (with 5x zoom!) on sale.

It is well within your price range and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Canon Power Shot 460
I just recently bought one of these from Walmart for about a $100. As you can see from my album it takes incredible pix. Has alot of nice features, even a setting for aquariums. Macro, super macro, video, manual settings, etc, etc
Before you spend a bunch of money check out my pix and this camera.

If you want something very versatile, I'd look at the olympus 1030SW. It's completely water proof. As in stick it in the tank and take pictures, or take it out in the rain without worry. Can be dunked into 30 feet of water, dropped from 6 feet, and frozen. A good camera, especially considering the price (I've seen them under $250).
