Name that coral

anyone know what this is? I found two of them in my tank the other day. I'm new to the world of reef tanks and have no idea what it is. Thanks!

its not a coral its called an Aptasia , basically a pest anemone . your better off killing it and getting it over with before it spreads (and it will) . Look them up online , theres all kinds of ways to kill them . Heres a site for all kinds of things you'll end up finding in your tank as time goes on . Xtalreef Its going to amaze you at the things that are going to start growing and just end up crawling around your tank at night . 3 years later and I'm still surprized at some of the things I find .

it's a pest anemone, indeed. they can overtake the tank and will compete (and usually win) against corals for space and food. it's recommended to eliminate them.

You could get a peppermint shrimp to eat them if they are kinda on the bigger side you can inject them with lemon juice from the lemon shaped bottle to kill them. There's lots of other ways just search the forum.
