Congrats on adding the picture.

What kind of fish is the black one? Is it a goby or a blenny of some sort?

I just posted about 33 new pictures to the end of my 75 gallon reef thread if you are interested in checking those out.

Your tank looks amazing. I can see right off I need more color. It makes a huge difference. the fish you asked about is a black sailfin blenny...I think.
2 questions. I was given this piece of coral but don't know what it is or how to place it for best results.

oops...the other question. How do you get rid of the coraline algae growing on back of tank. I haven't had much luck. you can see it in this picture.

Thanks for the compliment on my tank.

Sailfin blennies are cool little fish with plenty of personality.

The picture is sort of small to really tell what the coral is. I am thinking it might be some type of a finger leather based on the shape and coloration.

Most people don't worry about the coralline algae on the back glass, unless this is a peninsula tank. It is a sign of good levels and maturity. If it bothers you too much you can use one of those utility scraper razor blades and scrape it off. That is about the only thing that will take it off "easily".
