Yeah, lets see if it is worth the $180 bucks....I saw that one day and thought cool, but....just couldn't justify the cost...

There are SLR adapters for microscopes -- a cheaper option if you have an SLR camera. Decent quality microscopes start around $100.

What you would need is an attachment that couples to your EOS mount in place of a lens, then attaches or slips over the microscope tube. Your basically using the microscope's optics as you camera lens.
I use a similar setup for telescope (astro)photography, where the telescope becomes a giant lens.
Check out ebay for a "microscope adapter" or something along those lines. Make sure to look for your specific camera mount. The Rebel XT and recent Canons are the EOS mount.
