learning aquarium photography

Ok so now I know what to do with my spare time inbetween water changes. Take digital pictures they are inexpensive. I have taken a lot of pictures on my slr's but digital is new as well as shooting through the glass. My digital has a flors. control setting and it seems to have gotten the green out of my pictures but the colors are not sharp what do I adjust next? Here is a picture of where I am now. Notice the slightly out of focus and the green and purple not sjowing bright.

Are you using a tripod? Can you adjust the white balance on that camera? Are you using the macro feature? It seems that you are too close for the camera to focus. back up a bit, then shoot. using a tripod will help reduce camera shake, which can cause the picture to appear out of focus.

which SLR digital camera? There are a couple on the market. For instance I have the Canon EOS 10D digital, it's very nice. But there is also the Canon EOS Rebel digital, which is cheaper but doesn't have all the features, it's about 600 less than the 10D.

Peace

EK
