If all the contest was based on was the sharpness of the picture, it would be pretty darn easy to win! I personally give more credit to color and composition myself...
Now that I think about it, one of the main difficulties when trying to get a nice sharp picture of a tank inhabitant is that you have to deal with focus, flash, distortion, etc through the glass/acrylic walls of your tank. While it is a very sharp picture, yours is the only pic with no tank wall involved. Isn't pulling the subject out of the tank to take its picture cheating???

Im not the one with the hermit in the hand photo...Im in second with the hermit crawling over a rock. But I agree, there is so much more than sharpness in a photo, but without a sharp image you may as well have nothing at all unless your purposly shooting an out of focus photo(which can sometimes turn out very nice)
