Hmmm. I must be wetodddid. I tried to resize a pic and it went from 693 kb to start to 2.5 M when finished. I dont think this is what was supposed to happen.

If you are using xp you can just download the image resizer powertoy from here
www(dot)microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

then you can just select a group of images, right click, and select resize images then choose the resolution you want. Works really well.
