Digi camera suggestions under $200

My old lady wants a digital camera for her birthday but I can't drop more than $200. I realize I can't get a great camera in this price range but can anyone suggest something decent in the price range. It will primarily be for taking like vacation photos etc but it will be the only means I have of taking tank pics

I use a canon powershot A160 for work and really like it. There are several models under $250 and they are always running sales. Pretty good deal for an 8-10mp camera with good settings and ease of use.

My wife picked out her own camera for her birthday...an Exilim 7.2MP for about $150...It has some decent settings and does pretty good for a basic point and shoot...like all the low end digi's it gets "noisy" in lower light, but in good light the pics are good...the biggest selling feature for her was it is much smaller than most other cameras.

Here are a couple of shots I took using the macro setting:

A bit out of your price range, but a really neat point-and-shoot I've had my eye on lately is the Olympus water proof camera. Who needs a photobox when you can just put the camera in the tank?

Costco had some Nikon cool pix packages there for $149 yesterday. Not the greatest, but good for the price.

Check out buy.com and overstock.com. Many times they run specials that have pretty good prices.
