Check it out!

I was at a WAMAS meeting yesterday (Washington Area), and Robie Sayan uses a Nikon camera with this soft light lense attached to it. It produces a gentle white light. He puts the camera up against the glass, turns off the tank lights, and as long as the subject is within 4" of the front glass, he gets the most amazing and brilliant colors i have ever seen! What do you guys think about it, do they make any for CANNON?

Soft light lens? Never heard of it...

Maybe you are talking about a ring flash? Ring flashes are great for macros and closeup photography. Here's a pic of the Canon ring flash...

I have used flashes for a lot of my tank shots. I usually use two or three flashes with the tank lights off. I also use them as "fill flashes". The MH's are really bright and cast a lot of shadows, I use a flash to brighten the shadows so the picture has less contrast.

Ahhh, there they are! So, that's the cannon one, how much do they cost? Really? A whole bunch are needed?
