The Fujifilm FinePix S7000 Zoom is a much better camera in my opinion. Minolta had some success DiMAGE but other then that the cameras they put out are junk IMO. The Minolta Company has just merged with Konica. The companies merged to help there slipping financial health.

Fujifilm has a better lens, better CCD and better price tag.

Where can you get one for $324? The street price on S7000 is $600 - $700 before the $100 manufactures rebate.

Will these cameras let you take close up pics like some of the gorgeous ones on this site?

I have a 29 dollar digital but we have a killer setup old school SLR that can use a macro lens.

The price is...

$349.99 But it also says...
Quote:
Price listed after 100.00 mail in rebate
so its $450 before rebate... still a great price. Let me know how it goes, some of them online dealer can try to rip you off. Believe me it happens all the time.

I would call a more reputable dealer like...
www.bhphotovideo.com
www.adorama.com
