Camera Ideas???

OK...so my wife sux at taking photos (she even admits it)! She received a gift card for $100 from my parents for her birthday and thinks she would like to get a camera for herself. I told her she couldn't get a decent point and shoot for 100 bux, so I'd give her another $50 to go with it. She really like the small form factor and features of the Casio

EX-Z75 7.2MP (seems to get plenty of good reviews). Anybody have any thoughts/experience with this model or a better suggestion for a point and shoot in the $150 range knowing that she is photographically challenged, LOL! (image stabilization and rechargeable battery are a must)

I hate to say it but... add more money. Up it to about $200.00 and you might be surprised at what you can get.

Nikon and Canon both have inexpensive P&S cameras in their lineup. You can also pickup a deal on a new/old stock P&S.

Try:
Overstock.com
Newegg.com
Zipzoomfly.com

That Casio EX-Z75 does not hav image stabilization, according to the specs: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...asio_exz75.asp

DPReview has a huge database of cameras, with reviews of some and current prices of the more popular models. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs.asp

I doubt that you will be able to get much of a camera with the features you want for $150. I'd check the Canon, Nikon, and Fuji cameras in the database and see if you can find one that fits your requirements.

Thanks for the info guys...she opted for the Exilim and is happy with it (she was semi-limited as she had to use the gift card so she couldn't shop around)...for $150 it's pretty good...easy point and shoot (with image stab) which is what she wanted/needed and a rechargeable battery which so far seems to have a pretty long life...I messed with it a little and it allows for some decent manual adjustments (for a cheapy) and seems to take decent photos...like all cheaper digicams it starts to loose image quality as ISO increases, but in good light the pics are nice. Just for kicks here are a couple of macros I shot to test it out:
