I find it indicative of the posters on RC that Agu the moderator choose not to respond at all. I would like to hear Douglas Lowey's side in regards to that experiment.

Yeh, I know I'm coming in kinda late on this one...

I love TRT, and rarely poke my head in any other board. And I agree with Jay that it is sad that the poor moderators on the other board have to shut down a thread to keep the flames at bay. Course, if no one was answering....

Ahh...and thank you, Earl, for you comments on the silly AM wake ups I post. I wake up happy, and everybody else better do same or they get ice cubes and pincers....

I must admit that while I almost never post to them, I _always_ read the Mawnin' threads (of course it's around 1 pm est when I do). And, food for thought, marbles kept in the freezer will get the sleepiest of sleepy heads out of bed!

I must further admit that I am anxiously awaiting my birthday so I get a birthday thread. It may be kind of silly, but I really am looking forward to it.

I really hope that TRT was not mentioned in either of those threads. I find it embarrasing that you would intentionally go to RC and try to start a mess just to prove your point. We could have told you what would happen.

For the record, we are not in competition with RC, nor are we enemies. JohnL has always been friendly and helpful to me. RC is a great resource. Due to its size and different philosophy it will never be like TRT. We have fairly strict rules here and those who know they can't abide by our flame-free philosophy at least have somewhere else they can go post.

i intentionaly did not mention trt.. i dont want a war between the two.

i posted that thread as a test to RC. i posted a legitimate question, that i truly needed an answer to, and within an hour it was buried on page three. within 14 hours it was on page 6, and within 24 hours it was on the bottom of page 10. without a single reply. the first reply i got was from a member here, who knew i had psoted the thread, and the second was from Doug Lowrey.

but when i posted the bofus thread, it was replied to within minutes, and the first was closed within an hour. but it wasn't closed because it was a bogus thread, it was closed because the mod didnt want it to become a flame fest.

that proved my point wholly, that many members there are more interested in flaming someone for anything, rather than answer a valid question.

but for the record, i never mentioned trt, so as not to drag it into the mix.

i humbly promise to never do it again

I just find it interesting that we've just seen the MODS here do exactly what the point of posting at RC was about....

All it takes is one person to object and everyone else jumps on board and throws their flames in as well....

I mod at a few other boards, and we do it there as well... Personally, when I need to call someone out for something, I do it through PM like Doug1 does....
